Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 14, 2026
SignMaker.top ("we", "us", or "this website") provides free online signature tools. This Privacy Policy explains what information we do — and, more importantly, do not — collect when you use our website, and the rights you have under laws such as the GDPR and the CCPA.
1. The short version
- Your signatures and PDF files never leave your device. All drawing, rendering and PDF processing happens locally in your browser.
- We do not require an account, email address or any personal information to use the tools.
- We do not use tracking cookies, advertising pixels or analytics profiles.
- We do not sell, rent or share personal data with anyone.
2. Information we do not collect
Because every tool on this website runs client-side (in your browser), we never see, receive, store or process:
- the signatures you draw or type;
- the PDF documents you open in the "Sign PDF" tool;
- any file names, document contents or images you work with;
- your name, email address or contact details (unless you email us voluntarily).
3. Information processed automatically
3.1 Server logs
Like almost every website, our web server (Nginx) automatically records standard technical log entries when pages are delivered: IP address, date and time, requested URL, HTTP status code, bytes transferred, referrer and user-agent string. These logs are used solely to operate, secure and debug the service (for example, detecting abuse or server errors) and are rotated automatically. We do not combine log data with other data sources.
Legal basis under GDPR: our legitimate interest in operating a secure, functional website (Art. 6(1)(f)).
3.2 Local storage in your browser
The website stores a single preference in your browser's localStorage: the language you selected (so we can show the right language next time). This entry never leaves your browser, contains no personal data, and can be deleted at any time by clearing your browser data.
3.3 Cookies
We do not set any cookies. If third-party advertising (such as Google AdSense) is enabled on this website in the future, such vendors may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites, and you will be able to opt out via the links in Section 6.
4. Third-party content
The type-mode feature loads handwriting fonts from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com / fonts.gstatic.com). When your browser requests these font files, Google receives your IP address and standard request metadata as part of delivering the files. Google's own privacy policy applies to that request. No other third-party services are contacted, and all document processing happens offline within your browser.
5. Your rights under GDPR (European users)
If you are in the EEA, UK or Switzerland, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access — request confirmation of whether we hold personal data about you and obtain a copy;
- Rectification — have inaccurate data corrected;
- Erasure ("right to be forgotten") — have your data deleted;
- Restriction & objection — restrict or object to processing based on legitimate interests;
- Portability — receive data you provided in a machine-readable format;
- Complaint — lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Since we collect no accounts and no tool content, the only personal data we could hold is a server-log IP address or an email you sent us. To exercise any right, email guichenli86@gmail.com; we respond within 30 days.
6. Your rights under CCPA/CPRA (California residents)
California residents have the right to:
- Know what categories of personal information we collect, use, disclose or sell;
- Delete personal information we hold about you;
- Correct inaccurate personal information;
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information;
- Non-discrimination for exercising any of these rights.
Our practices: we do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. The only category of personal information potentially collected is internet activity data in standard server logs (see Section 3.1). To make a verifiable consumer request, email guichenli86@gmail.com.
7. Children's privacy
This website is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since no registration exists and all content stays in the browser, using the tools involves no disclosure of personal information by any user of any age.
8. Data security
The website is served exclusively over HTTPS. Because your signatures and documents are processed entirely on your own device and are never transmitted to us, the most sensitive content you handle never crosses the network at all.
9. International visitors
The website is hosted in the United States. By using the website you understand that standard server logs are processed there. No other transfer of your personal data takes place because we collect none through the tools.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time (for example, if advertising is enabled). The "Last updated" date above always shows the current version. Material changes will be announced on this page.
